A language expert has warned Cheryl Cole against changing her accent to crack America.

Simon Cowell has booked the Geordie, 25, in with a top Hollywood voice coach — fearing Stateside fans would not understand her twang.

But Joan Beal, professor of English language at Sheffield University, said Cheryl’s accent was part of her appeal — and changing it for commercial reasons could harm her image in the UK. She added: “Does she really want to be seen as putting on an act?

Girls Aloud launched their new limited-edition Eyelure Fake Eyelash range at the Superdrug store in London’s Westfield shopping centre earlier today. Cheryl looked great in a pink vest and grey skinny jeans. During the launch, the girls met their fans and signed autographs on the packaging.

Cheryl Cole has beaten supermodels and style icon Victoria Beckham to be voted as the best-dressed woman of the year and style icon of the decade. Wow!

In the poll conducted by television channel The Style Network, Cole was voted as the ‘Best Dressed Woman of 2009 along with the style icon accolade. The survey involving 3000 women also showed that women were seen as at their most stylish when aged between 25 and 30.

“In the past year, Cheryl Cole has become everyone’s style crush,” the Telegraph quoted Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour, as saying. “She’s ridiculously gorgeous, beautifully groomed and always glossy, glossy, glossy,” Elvin added.

Cheryl Cole has begged the nation to stop bashing her husband Ashley, saying:” I just wish they’d all leave him alone.”

In an emotional chat with friends, Cheryl claims troublemaker Ashley isn’t as arrogant as many people believe.

Despite the England and Chelsea ace’s uncanny knack of landing in hot water, Cheryl, 25, told pals:” He’s a really soft guy underneath it all. His confidence is taking a real bashing.

This week tabloids have reported that Cheryl Cole and husband Ashley Cole are due to renew their wedding vows.

This isn’t the first time there have been rumors of this and it is still 100% fabricated. Cheryl’s spokesperson said the following:

“It’s absolute rubbish. It’s not true that they’re planning to renew their vows.”

Despite recently wearing a very revealing PVC leotard in the latest Girls Aloud video, Cheryl Cole says she is unhappy with her size 6 body.

‘I’m not happy with my body,’ Cheryl says. ‘I have to watch my weight and put myself through it, trying silly diets or doing stupid gym workouts.’
