Cheryl’s Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh believes it is just a matter of time before she and husband Ashley start a family.

She said: “Looking at it practically, Cheryl will probably be the first one in the band to have a baby. I do get broody and I love babies, but I’m not ready yet.”

Although Kimberley is convinced Cheryl will become the group’s first mother, she believes one of the other three girls – Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts or Nadine Coyle, all of whom have boyfriends – could produce a pregnancy shock.

Cheryl is an Eyelash iconCheryl Cole has sparked the biggest boom in false eyelashes since the sixties, sales figures revealed yesterday.

Cheryl, 25, has inspired millions of teenage girls to wear them, just as pop icons Dusty Springfield and Twiggy did 40 years ago.

Supermarket Tesco said sales had doubled due to the young fashion icon.

Tesco’s health and beauty director Mark Tyldesley said: “Cheryl Cole is doing for false eyelashes now what Dusty Springfield did for them in the 60s.

“She’s a modern icon so it’s not surprising so many young women are influenced by her style.”

Cheryl has auctioned off an item of clothing to raise funds for charity. As millions of Brits “did something funny for money”, Cheryl auctioned a fleece she wore on her Kilimanjaro Climb last week.

Cheryl’s fellow celebrity mountaineer Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles also donated his trousers from the adventure. “The current economic climate may affect the amount of cash in people’s pockets,” the Daily Star quoted Comic Relief marketing boss Michele Settle as saying.

Pals say Cheryl – who was in Tanzania when hubby Ashley was arrested – will be demanding answers when she returns home this week.

A source said: “Cheryl has been shielded from a lot so she could concentrate on the climb, which was really tough.

“But she knows he has been acting the fool and she is furious. He will be in for the mother of all b******ings.”

Cheryl must wait until Wednesday for the showdown with Cole, who is off to Italy for Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Juventus tomorrow night.
