Cheryl will reportedly negotiate ‘hard’ for a new deal with The X Factor producers to appear on the next series of the show.

Boss Simon Cowell is said to believe that Cheryl was a major reason for the success of last year’s show and wants to keep her on the judges’ panel.

A source told The Sun: “Cheryl knows she is a big hit so she’ll negotiate hard.

“There is talk she could get £1 million, but things are tight at ITV so it’s not a done deal by any stretch.”

Cheryl Cole is flying home from Kilimanjaro tomorrow for a crunch meeting with her shamed husband Ashley.

After climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief, Cheryl is said to be preparing for a showdown with the England star, who was arrested outside a nightclub for drunk and disorderly conduct in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The shattered singer has reportedly asked aides to send her newspaper headlines about the incident, which saw Ashley fined £80 and locked up in a police cell for the night.

Asked about her momentous achievement a few hours after reaching the summit, Cheryl Cole had the following to say:

It has been – without question – the single most mentally and physically challenging experience of my life. Nothing could have prepared me for what I was up for. I’m so proud of all of us for making it to the top. But it is the end result that was the sole purpose of this trip.

Having experienced life here first-hand, in hindsight it has been one of my most rewarding experiences too. Hindsight being the operative word!

Cheryl has come out top in Tatler’s “best dressed” list of 2009. Cole has become a style icon as her star has soared in the last year.

Tatler said: “The world has gone completely insane for our Cheryl.”

Digital Spy are having their first ever Reality TV Awards next month, and Cheryl is nominated in the “Best Judge” category for her work on The X Factor, which is also up for an award – “Best Reality Series.”

The ceremony will take place on Monday, April 6 at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London.

All nine incredible Kilimanjaro climbers proved today that there ain’t no mountain high enough as they all reached the summit, one by one, in the early hours of this morning!

Guided by the moon throughout the freezing night, they reached the summit at varying stages from 4am this morning led by Ben Shephard. In a staggered and agonising approach, all 8 climbers arrived within 40 minutes of each other, Ben, Fearne, Denise and Cheryl were first followed by Kimberley, Ronan and Gary and then Chris.

Girls Aloud are learning to “fly” for a performance at next Sunday’s “Dancing On Ice” semi-finals.

The girls will hang from the ceiling on wires to sing their new single ‘Untouchable,’ as Torvill and Dean skate below them.

A source said: “Everyone’s really excited about getting Girls Aloud. It’s wires week so they’ll be suspended from the ceiling.”

This afternoon the group made it to the highest camp on the Tanzanian mountain. Here they will fill up on a hearty meal then rest for three hours before setting off on the six-hour hike to the top, which they are expected to reach at 3am.

Cheryl said: ‘Today was really tough – every day has been really tough. I was ill the night before and had to have an injection. We are all so, so close to making it now.

‘Physically and especially mentally, this has been a very hard thing to do – but not once so far have I thought about giving up. When we are told the latest total that’s been raised, it gives us such a massive boost to carry on up the hill.’

Cheryl Cole is preparing for a showdown with footballer husband Ashley when she returns to Britain on Monday, following claims that he chatted up a blonde in a club.

The couple almost split last year over allegations that he cheated with a hairdresser, so Cheryl, 25, put the Chelsea star on a strict ‘no clubbing’ promise while she is away climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.

But today new details emerged about how the defender snapped in the early hours yesterday after being photographed at Collection nightspot in South Kensington with a female clubber.
