Cheryl Cole will be paid £250,000 more than Dannii Minogue on the new series of The X Factor, according to a report.
The Sunday Mirror claims that both stars are hoping to receive £1 million salaries this year, but Minogue is likely to be left disappointed.
Girls Aloud star Cole is believed to have landed a £750,000 contract when she made her debut on the ITV1 talent show in 2008. Aussie singer Minogue, who joined in 2007, reportedly received £500,000 last year.

Girls Aloud are nominated for British Group and British Single at the 2009 BRIT Awards.
Cheryl Cole, 25, said: “We’re really nervous. I’m totally made-up just to have got this far, so to win the award would be magic.
“Please vote for The Promise and get us that all important BRIT award. Winning the same night as our first performance there would be incredible.”

Cheryl Cole looks set to collaborate with Will.i.am on new material.
The Girls Aloud singer duetted with the Black Eyed Peas star, 33, on his hit single Heartbreaker last year and is now hoping to recreate the success.
‘This is an amazing move for her,’ an insider tells the News Of The World. ‘Will.i.am is one of the biggest stars after his work for Barack Obama.’
Cheryl, 25, returned to the UK from LA, where she reportedly discussed the plans with Will, earlier this week.

Girls Aloud have announced they have signed a new deal with their record label Fascination, promising three more albums – including one next year.
Recent newspaper reports had suggested that the group may be on the verge of breaking up, as the five members pursued independent projects.
But the girls, who are going on tour in late April, are not splitting and will release their next album in 2010.

Cheryl Cole, who has been inundated with requests to collaborate with other artists, met Mika during a recent trip to Los Angeles to discuss working together.
A source said: “Mika is in the US working on his new album. He went for dinner with the chief of Universal records and Cheryl was invited along too.
“They were speaking about their plans for the future and Mika said he’d love to work on her solo material.

Ashley Cole is said to be very concerned about wife Cheryl Cole’s health – and state of mind – during her 8-day ‘life-changing’ trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Comic Relief later this month.
‘One thing that really worries Ashley is Cheryl getting dizzy in the extremely high altitude or getting headaches because she’s prone to them,’ says our source.
‘As a sportsman, he also knows what your body goes through when you push yourself hard – how that can change you as a person. They’ve been through so much together that the last thing he wants is for this latest challenge to divide them as a couple.’

Cheryl Cole’s appearance on the cover of the February issue of Vogue pushed the glossy to a record circulation for the month, but the magazine is facing a tough year with the number of advertising pages falling 20% in the current quarter.
The February issue of the magazine, which included an exclusive interview with the Girls Aloud singer and The X Factor judge talking about her marital difficulties with her husband, Ashley, pushed Vogue’s circulation to 240,000 – its best-ever February figure.

Cheryl Cole has threatened to quit her role as a judge on The X Factor if Lily Allen is drafted in to replace Dannii Minogue.
“Cheryl can’t bear Lily ever since Lily called her stupid and a lot worse,” a source tells British newspaper the Daily Mail.
“Lily would love to do The X Factor but Cheryl has told Simon she’ll walk if Lily gets it.”
Show boss Simon Cowell is now said to be looking at an American actress to replace Minogue.

Cheryl Cole is set to conquer the US now that Simon Cowell has introduced her to top US executives.
Thanks to Simon, the Girls Aloud singer recently dined with media power-players at London restaurant Zuma.
‘Simon’s put her in touch with some very influential people who can open all the right doors for her,’ reveals our source.
‘All the compliments flowing in her direction from the executives made it crystal clear that she’s regarded as a hot property in the US. She was told that the possibilities are endless, but for the time being she’s being advised to focus on TV work rather than a solo music career.

During a trip to the UK Paris Hilton was asked by press what she thinks of Cheryl Cole, to which she replied:
“I haven’t met Cheryl, but I’ve heard how much you guys love her. She’s stunning and I bet they’ll love her in the States.”
She added: “Simon Cowell is a wise business man to bring her over I love him, he’s very funny, charming and cool. I haven’t invited him to the nightclub in my house yet but I will!” Hilton added.
