February 27, 2009: Cheryl and Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley are seen at Heathrow airport, ready to depart for the Kilimanjaro Climb in Tanzania. The team posed with their red noses in front of their special Red Nose Day plane, and once inside Cheryl and Kimberley gave the photographer a huge smile. Excited girls? It sure is an adventure. February 26, 2009: Cheryl is seen running errands in central London. Cheryl, wearing a Red Nose t-shirt, visited Nomadi in Russell Square to arrange altitude training ahead of her Kilimanjaro climb, and she was also seen getting her vaccinations for the trip.

The X Factor’s Cheryl Cole will face Strictly Come Dancing’s John Sergeant in a battle of the Saturday night reality shows at the Broadcasting Press Guild awards next month.

Cole and Sergeant have both been nominated in the best non-acting performer category, alongside BBC News’s Robert Peston and Stephen Fry for BBC2’s QI and BBC1’s Stephen Fry in America.

Cheryl has reportedly told Simon Cowell that she will quit The X Factor if he replaces Dannii Minogue.

Cheryl is said to be concerned that she may not get along with Minogue’s replacement if she leaves, The Sun reports.

A source said: “Cheryl told Simon straight – if it’s not her and Dannii together, then he’s looking for two new stars.

Despite being in a great mood just after winning a BRIT award, Cheryl got a bit mad at a reporter while being interviewed.

Cheryl was asked backstage if Girls Aloud were splitting up – just moments after they picked up a gong for Best Single, to which Cole replied: “Why would you ask a question like that? We have just won this award voted for by the public.

That’s ridiculous.” Furious, she then told the startled interviewer: “You ruined the moment.” And with that, she dragged the rest of the girls away.

Fearne Cotton has revealed that fellow charity climber Cheryl Cole is not keen on the prospect of not being able to wash properly.

Both celebrities are joining a number of other stars to scale Mount Kilimanjaro in order to raise money and awareness for Comic Relief.

Cotton told The Sun that she will not care about her appearance while on the trek.

Cheryl Cole will be paid £250,000 more than Dannii Minogue on the new series of The X Factor, according to a report.

The Sunday Mirror claims that both stars are hoping to receive £1 million salaries this year, but Minogue is likely to be left disappointed.

Girls Aloud star Cole is believed to have landed a £750,000 contract when she made her debut on the ITV1 talent show in 2008. Aussie singer Minogue, who joined in 2007, reportedly received £500,000 last year.
