Cheryl has said she’s not a big boy band fan but she would, however, like to team up with Take That’s main songwriter Gary Barlow.

“You have to hand it to Take That. They’re amazing entertainers with fantastic songs and great characters,” she said in a radio interview to be aired tonight.

“When they arrived on the scene, there was such hysteria.”

Cheryl took what some people would call a little swipe at hubby Ashley in her first interview since their split.

Cheryl said she wouldn’t look twice at a man in Speedos, and this came after it was revealed Ashley sent pictures of himself in white pants to a lover.

Asked what kind of man she would fancy on a beach, she said: “Bermuda shorts please, all the way.”

She told Bauer Radio Network: “A guy could be in Speedos and ripped to within an inch of his life and I don’t think I’d look again.”

Simon Cowell has allegedly offered Cheryl Cole $2.2 million to be a judge on the US version of X Factor.

As we reported yesterday, Cowell had previously hinted the newly single star would be ‘perfect’ for the role on the American judging panel and that she is his ‘first choice’ for the job.

Allegations today suggest the music mogul has met face-to-face with Fox executives in the US to secure a deal where Simon reportedly told bosses: “Cheryl is our girl.”

Cheryl Cole was said to be “furious” after Ashley apparently made the request to postpone their split until after World Cup.

A source told the newspaper: “Cheryl hit the roof. She flew off the handle and he knew instantly he’d said the wrong thing once again.”

The injured Chelsea defender, 29, had allegedly suggested the arrangement before, via a text message.

Simon Cowell has reportedly suggested that he wants Cheryl Cole to appear on the US version of The X Factor.

“I’d love to have Cheryl on the show,” he said. “We have a great chemistry.”

Cowell reportedly winked when he was asked if she was guaranteed a place as a judge, adding: “Cheryl’s a natural star. People can’t help but warm to her.”

There are some contradicting stories written by various newspapers about what went down when Ashley arrived home to the house he shares with wife Cheryl. One report says she kicked him out of the house within 30 minutes and another says they had a “nice and civil meeting.”

She wanted a polite discussion on how to split their marital assets. He swaggered in, confident that he could win her back.

Within half an hour, Ashley Cole had been kicked out of their home – and shortly afterwards Cheryl Cole consulted Fiona Shackleton, the divorce lawyer who represented Sir Paul McCartney and Prince Charles.

Cheryl Cole has plans to move out of the £3.5million mansion she shares with Ashley before he comes home.

Cheryl, 26, has viewed two luxury properties nearby and wants Ashley to buy her out of her share of the posh pad. In the meantime, she plans to rent somewhere.

A source close to Cheryl said: “She wants to be gone before he gets home. She doesn’t want to see him.

Cheryl is gutted she’s ill and has been forced to cancel upcoming appearances. This message from her was posted on her official site today:

Hi guys…

As some of you may know, I’m really ill at the moment with a nasty case of bronchitis. Unfortunately, I’m stuck in bed under strict doctor’s orders, so I’ve had no other choice than to cancel my performances on the Friday Night with Jonathan Ross Show and the Radio 1 Live Lounge this week. Gutted!

It’s a good job I’ve got my iPod to keep me entertained, l’m loving Ellie Goulding’s album right now!

I’m really sorry for letting you down and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Cheryl Cole has come down with a bout of bronchitis, forcing her to cancel her appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. Cheryl has also pulled out of a Live Lounge session on Fearne Cotton’s mid morning Radio 1 show, which was scheduled for tomorrow (Friday).

Cheryl was set to sing her new single Parachute on Ross’s Friday night show, which is filmed today. But the stricken singer is now holed up at home and has been told to postpone all promotional activity on doctor’s orders.

Cheryl spent yesterday morning at a rehearsal studio in south-west London. Cheryl left her home before lunch and headed straight to a recording studio in Putney to rehearse for upcoming performances to promote her debut solo album.

She arrived at Ritz Studios, a venue specialising in rehearsals for band before they begin live tours, at around 11am and left a couple of hours later, headed back home.

A few moments later, her chauffeur-driven Mercedes limousine left, empty, signalling that she was preparing to spend the rest of the day at home.
