In addition to her killer fashion choices and drop-dead gorgeous looks, we love Cheryl Cole for her ability to tell it like it is. Whether discussing her body insecurities or the state of her marriage, she’s as refreshingly frank as ever, as Celia Walden discovers.
Hard to believe, we know, but the girl who is possibly the most famous Geordie on the planet isn’t that bothered about fame. “If someone had told me ten years ago everything that comes with being where I am now, I wouldn’t have gone for it so much,” admits Cheryl Cole, pulling the sleeves of her black cashmere sweater down over her hands. “I never wanted to be famous – what drives me is the desire to be successful, because what’s the point of being a failure and famous?”

We all know that 2009 wasn’t the easiest of years for Cheryl’s relationship – according to the media. With her relationship in the constant spotlight, and her personal relationship with Ashley under magnification, it’s time Cheryl spent time to unwind and helped herself to relax more. With added stress from the X Factor competition and various other false interpretations, reports tell us that Cheryl has used books and exercising techniques to help her unwind.
“A few times in the last couple of months she was very teary and worried… Cheryl’s changing her diet and fitness regime, and is learning new relaxation techniques to help her ‘de-stress’. But now she’s reading books about the art of relaxing to help her unwind and keep on top of things. She’s determined to enjoy the ride in the coming year and not get so worked up about things,” said a source.
According to sources, Cheryl Cole has reportedly agreed to mentor contestants on the German version on the X Factor.
Whilst touring Europe, Cheryl will star on the show to kick off publicity for her European tour. A source close to Cheryl has revealed to The Sunday Mirrorthat she will follow-up her tour in other countries such as: Spain, France and Italy. Cheryl will then decide if it is possible for her to star in the UK X Factor, due to her touring schedule.
The source also reveals: “She loves the show but her solo career comes first and if schedules collide then she may not return,” Following: “She wants to spend time in America too – and may commute between X Factor auditions to make it work out there.”

During the week, Cheryl revealed to Glamour Mag some very personal information. Admitting that she lost her virginity at the age of 15, Cheryl stand to defend herself and says that: ‘I was 15 when I lost my virginity, but I made my boyfriend wait three months, so I am really proud of myself for that.’
Adding her opinion on one-night stands, Cheryl Cole admits: ‘The thought of being intimate with someone you don’t know really freaks me out. I think men should earn that intimacy.’
We think it’s really inspiring for Cheryl to reveal this. Cheryl isn’t ashamed of this, but proud of herself for allowing the relationship to progress. A true icon!
So we all know that Cheryl Cole and ‘Happy’singer, Lily Allen, have never really been the best of friends. And, due to their recent feud, it doesn’t seem they will be dueting anytime soon!
Cheryl reveals, after meeting Lily for the first time last week, she decided to take an elegant, forgiving approach to Lily:
Cheryl says: “I met Lily for the first time last week. I gave her a hug and said, ‘Nice to meet you.‘
“To which she said: ‘There is no beef.‘
“Then I hear she was in the Press room taking the p*** and I thought: ‘She’s a little girl but I’m a 26-year-old woman and I’m not at school any more.‘”

Cheryl Cole has admitted that she would love to join the celebrity trend and have her own perfume.
Cheryl, who was recently chosen to be the new face of L’Oreal in the UK, says that she would love the idea of having her own line of beauty products, and in particular – to have her own fragrance on the shelves.
“I would love to have my own beauty products,” she told Hello! magazine. “I think the most special thing you could have is your own custom-made personal perfume. It must be amazing to have your own unique smell.”
Cheryl Cole can’t help but cringe when she thinks back to meeting Beyonce at The X Factor finale last year. Cheryl, who looks up to Beyonce and is a big fan, had promised herself to be cool around her but that didn’t happen. She tells Hello Magazine:
“I am obsessed with Beyonce, I promise you. When I met her I turned into an absolute gabbling (chatting) fool; I was so embarrassed. She came to film the finale of X Factor, so I knew she was coming to sing with Alexandra Burke. I was watching rehearsals crying my eyes out because everything was coming to an end, Alexandra was incredible and then Beyonce turned up. She didn’t have a scrap of make-up on, her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, she wore a plain white t-shirt and skinny jeans with heels, and she was unguarded and encouraging.
“So by the time it got got me to meet her I had had a glass of wine, I was a mess from crying, and then I just gabbled (chatted) this whole load of rubbish: ‘You are what every woman should aspire to be, you are amazing, I love you!’ “Her mum was there and she must have thought I was a weirdo. I wanted to be cool and all like, ‘Hi B, how’s it going?’ But oh no!”
Cheryl Cole talks exclusively to Hello Magazine about her new campaign for L’Oreal as well as other things. Looking beautiful on the cover of the latest issue, Cheryl also reveals her celebrity girl crush – Megan Fox. She says: “I love what she wears and oh my God, she’s so perfect looking.”
